2003 XK8 Stereo question
I have the Alpine system in mine. There is a setting called POS on the stereo (when a cassette is in anyways), you can choose LEFT or RIGHT. Does this do what I think it does and set the output to the speakers for better sound verse in factory setting? I notice that when set on LEFT the sound sounds better, more even when playing some tunes through the cassette adapter I use to listen to music from my phone.

It is designed to optimize sound quality for just the left seat (the "Ayn Rand" setting) , all seats (the "Karl Marx" setting), or just the right seat (the "Mother Theresa" setting).
Not sure how exactly this is done ... must be more than volume since there is a separate balance setting. Time delay? Ambiance?
