Hi, Pulled into work
Wednesday, the low coolant warning comes on and coolant is just pouring out onto the ground. Finally figured that a piece of the thermostat housing is missing - see attached photo. It took me a while to find a photo of this end of the housing - looks like there is supposed to be a cap. I searched in this forum and couldn't see anyone else where this happened. Consider myself lucky that this must have happened right then, and the engine didn't overheat disastrously.
Car has 65K miles. I'm assuming that the only way to fix this is to replace the housing. Anyone think differently?
