Here is what you need. 707 factory hp, believe it or not! Of course, they got so many orders that they quit taking them. I think that I read that they have more orders than they can produce for the rest of the year.

The aptly named Hellcat has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 good for 707 hp and 650 lb-ft, with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. The automatic is faster, hitting 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, while the manual is more fun and still quick doing 0–60 in 3.9 seconds.

I suggest you stick with Plan A and lower the final drive. Your computer can be reflashed to fix any codes. I would suggest finding that expertise first, it is out there.

Don't let the naysayers stop you from making the car what you want.

I suspect the gearing was made so high in the hopes of getting slightly better mileage and reducing cabin noise. It does hurt performance and it would be more fun to drive with a more appropriate ratio.

This is my favorite response! Ultimately, that's what I'd like to do. While I am a DIYer with several major projects under my belt, I may not experienced enough to retrofit something without (at least vague) instructions. I would need someone to tell me what diff to use, ring & pinion size, adapters that may be necessary, any other mods etc. Ive searched and couldn't find the info myself.

Also, I asked the guys over at Eurotoys if they could reflash for different gears and they said no. He implied that only one person is capable of this and he's in Germany...and charges a premium of $2500 just for programming...plus shipping cost to and from Germany! At that price, combined with the rest of the expenses for the swap, I may as well do a twin screw...which again, is out of my budget. I could justify maybe $2k total, but not $2.5k only for the reflash...though I do find it hard to believe that only one person in the whole world is capable of reprogramming these computers for different gearing. My Ford guy did a full custom tune for my Tbird in about an hour.
