Default 2004 XKR Underhood Large Area Covers

Both of my large underhood area covers (brake booster area and fuse/relay area) are cracked. I have a 2004 XKR and they are extremely hard to find used. I think most people place their elbows on them, when working on their cars, and crack them. I have seen photos of carbon fiber versions. Does anyone know who makes these? I have not been able to find. Here is a photo of the part.

Thank you.

Plenty of used ones on ebay. search for part numbers NJA3978A & NJA3979A

I think the ones you saw were hydro dipped to look like carbon.

The part numbers came up as a convertible splash shield. Here is a photo of what I need. There is one on each side of the firewall. Thank you again.

Thank you. What site did you find the diagram you attached? Was it a supplier? If you can find them used, they want $125 each.

The diagram comes from JEPC (Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue)
You can download it from the stickies at the top of the main forum page.

Ebay has them for considerably less. Be careful as the older ones like mine are flat:- (your pic. shows a clearance 'bulge') and might not fit snug?

From what I have been seeing in photos, the under bonnet covers changed shape (bulge) and how they attach starting in 2003.

Wonder what changed under there?

You will have the ECM on that side & I don't think it grew in the later cars. Possibly repairable by someone who can do plastic welding, but if you're OCD like me you'll likely want to replace them

The location of the throttle cable was repositioned from next to the throttle body to next to the brake fluid reservoir under that cover. I believe this change happened with the 4.2 cars. The flat one will not clear the the throttle cable.
