A 2006 bumper on a 2000 jag xk8
Welcome to the forum Jagxk8isaac,
As I have read reports of early 4.0 litre models being updated to the later 4.2 litre appearance with bumpers and lower side mouldings, it must be possible. Whether it is a direct replacement without any modification being required is another matter but the rear and side fixings are the same so you could be lucky.

The bumper will bolt up but you will also need the fender well liners from the newer car as they are a slightly different shape.
For the side sill covers, the OEM installation method requires drilling some holes in the rocker panel for mounting them. I did not like that idea so much.
There is a thread or two on here about how to do it.

Jagxk8isaac....
Sorry I missed this back in November..
All these answers are correct but where the holes have to be drilled, remember that all 2005 & 2006 XK8 & XKR's have these same holes....as they came with the same Rocker Panels and after 14 years, I don't see any problems with the Drilled Holes.....
What you need is to find a 2005 or 2006 that has been hit in the Boot.....Buy the entire Front Bumper, Grill, Lights, the Under tray, Fender Liners and Rocker Panels.....Then your 2000 XK8 will look like a 2005-2006...a Couple/Three Thousand Dollars later...….but it will still be a 2000!

.. and as far as I know, the rear bumper was also restyled in a minor way at some point - probably on the '05's/'06's. Also, as an f.y.i., the side rocker panels on the newer models are simply snap on / snap off.
