Default 6 Years Ago can't remember

So six years ago when I started the restoration of my 1999 XK8 I bagged and tagged everything. Two of these are in my door panel parts along with the screws etc. For the life of me I can't remember where they go. Any ideas?

Doesn't look familiar.

I've had a scan through door panel and door lock sections of JEPC and can't see anything like it listed or shown in the diagrams.

With a 20 year old car, I would bet there are lots of examples of PO's mods. It's probable that the door glass has been adjusted. I've done mine.

There's a lot of anti-rattle buffers for the door glass. So I would guess that your funny shaped clip is a post-fit mod for some reason.

Never seen a clip like that in my XKR but by chance I was looking for something else on eBay and found these:

Looks fairly similar.

Like David said, maybe the previous owner got creative.

Yes I think your right. But it must be something else maybe seat belt etc. I must have put them in the panel bag. Hopefull I can figure it out

I agree with Steve, the flat spring like clip appears to be a conventional cross type U-Joint cap retainer. The Green/White pad could be a bumper or just found its way into the bag.

That was my first thought guys but there are two of them and they are too large to be a universal cap clip. I rebuilt the entire drive train on this XK8 and I am the second owner the first owner did no modifications. I'm stumped I just cant remember
