+1!!! Are you thinking about it Neil? Price / milage is almost too good to be true.

I'd almost be scared of a 13 year old car that's been driven so little. But I'd love to see it sell for a high price.

No way I have my hands full with my 2004. I will be watching the auction though to see how it goes.
I will be disappointed if it does not break $20k.

There's also a 03 with 24K on BaT, that's 5 XK8/R's in the last two weeks on BaT!

I'll be listing my 03 on BaT the end of next week. Market is not hot but seems stable for these cars. Mine has way more miles on it than the last 5 listed but will see how it goes. Just time to move on to other interests.

It’s at $15,250 with 5 hours to go!

Anyone on the forum bidding?

I expect it'll get real spicy with 10 minutes left in the auction. Hopefully it'll crack 20k.

There was an XKR coupe with the BBS montreals painted in matching champagne that sold for $40k a while back. It had like 4k miles or something on it. That was nice to see.

Last 15 minutes was crazy! At least 10 2 minute extensions added for late bids. $21750 did not meet reserve.

Most auctions, live or online, do not release what the reserve was if it was not met. In live auctions they will sometimes hint when it is getting close, and also try and convince the seller to drop it, if it is close but the bidding has stalled.

It appears the coffin chasing gold digger has an inflated idea of its worth.

A 26K mile XKR on BaT just sold for $22,000. A bit surprised it was bid higher than a final year 2006 with only
6k miles.

That is the classic issue with auctions. Folks get caught up the emotion and overpay, sometimes significantly....

Was it a coupe or a convertible?

edit: never mind, just found it. Convertible. Odd that it sold and the other only got bid marginally higher. But sometimes people are scared off when the miles are *too* low.
