97 XK8 Convertible No Power/Crank
Our 97 XK8 Convertible has no crank--it will not start, the trunk will not release and the fuel cap will not release. We have no remote for our key and I think it may be in a valet mode. Is that possible? If so, does anyone know how to get it out of valet mode?

You can open the trunk with the black key, the lock being between the X and K on the right side below the lid, that will get you to the battery to charge it. I don't believe there is a manual way to open the gas door, just the electrically operated relay.
I doesn't make any difference if the car is in valet mode, as long as you have a black key everything is accessible.
