It is my understanding that you need to remove the tank and in order to do that you will need to disconnect the fuel lines from under the tank. In order to do that I understand you must get it from under the car as stated in step 3.

There should be no difference between the 99 and the 2000. There is another thread somewhere that has great pictures of the process. Just do a search for it. It might be in the FAQs.

Here ya go. It's on Gus' site, but there's a link to it in the FAQs. It's a .pdf and it views better if you download it rather than viewing it in the browser window. You can zoom in on the pics for detailed views.

Are you using the fuel line quick disconnect tool? It is the only proper way to remove the fuel lines.

That is very true......unless of course you get mad and a red mist falls over your eyes, the angle grinder comes out cuting a hole in the rear bulkhead and then passing very swiftly through the fuel lines.

Such a satisfying feeling, pure joy.

NOT, that I recommend you do that, it was on my track XK so it didn't matter none, and not that this post helps you any, lets just say I understand your pain

dont you know it guys. several problems exist with the fuel line tool: access is limited and sound dampening material. cant get the tool fitted behind the material, cant get it close enough any way without droping it. Jaguar must have a tool long enough to run it through the interferences to get it seated behind the fitting and pinch it back, kind of like a pair of nail pullers. i am going to make such a tool myself. i will post on it if it works
