I tried to do the same thing when I inserted a check valve in the fuel line a few weeks ago. I found it impossible at first, but eventually I was able to siphon the gas out using a fatter piece of tubing. The thin, flexible piece I was using at first would just fold over on itself when I hit something in the filler tube. I got some thicker tubing, about the diameter of my pinky, and I was able to push it through. When I got to the tough part I just twisted the tubing until it found its way past the blockage.

you really cannot get anything into the tank easy enough to siphon out. I useally just pull the tank out just enough in the trunk to take the evap cap off to open the tank and then siphon out to not stick yours hands down in gas and is easier to get the tank back in without all the gas in it

Hi Sam, if I PM you my address, can you please send your pinky in a small brown envelope? I promise to send it back when I'm done.

In the meantime, I have some 1/2" OD tube to try. Does anyone know what form the anti-siphon device actually takes?
