Unhappy 99 XK8 What to do about codes / RP msg

Ok 99 XK8 been almost flawless for 2 weeks, 22K miles on it, was heading to autozone (luckily) car has been driven off and on all morning, had ran 10-15 before this, started up idled very rough, got it "blown out" 1/2 mile down the street it bucked real hard and threw an amber light and RP message, I had a heart attack, and just as fast they went away. Since I was at "The Zone" I had them read the codes:

p0300 random misfire-cause lean fuel air ratio
p1316 spark plug volt detec circuit fault-left bank
p 1000 sec air delivery-explanation faulty air pump

I did a quick serch and found several threads saying dirty injectors casue leaking into a cylinder and that floods. I was going to get some bg44k? from my neighbor mechanics and try that, Am i pointed in the right direction, should I panic yet, all advice is welcome.....

you need to look at your fuel trims at startup and idle... lots of member issues with those lately. S-types as well as xks are diagnosing several threads.

I would also pull the coils and spark plugs on the left bank, just to visually look at them.

Since AZ's scanner doesn't know any better, P1000 is not a specific fault...thats a readiness code, which by the 1000, at least one system has not been completed. Have you reset or had the codes (check engine light) reset? A P1111 means all systems have completed their drive cycle requirements and are ready to begin 'monitoring' again.

I don't have a clue how to look at the fuel trims, or what to make of them if I did, but Im willing to learn!

The light and msg went off as fast as they came on, just long enough to stop my heart.

Also, just got a can of BG44K from my neighbors, they are very good general mechanics, told him what happened and the theory of an injector leaking/flooding, he agreed with it and feels the fuel system is probably "varnished" from lack of use, car was virtualy undriven the last couple of years and now I'm potentially washing crude loose, sound pluasable?
