Done alot of searching, with not too much luck on the crank bolt issue. First of all, am hoping the crank bolt turns lefty loosey to remove so I can get the balancer off. Second, does anyone know if there is a woodrift key that may have come out or sheared off causing the balancer to be loose? Any advice would be great,

No woodruff key- just and INCREDIBLY tight one use bolt and cone washer.

 

ok, so I am going to try and lock torqer coverter and use a breaker bar,,,,,,lefty loosey?

 

If you crank the motor and look at the direction it spins, the bolt is the opposite. Some folks (DO AT YOUR OWN RISK and for heavens sake protect the radiator) have wedged the breaker bar between the ground and the car and bumped the starter to loosen the bolt.

I recall the if you look at the engine from the front, the engine turns clockwise, so it would be lefty loosey.
