Hi guys,My ABS light comes on for no reason occasionally and will stay on till I get to about 25 mph,then It will go off.does anybody know the reason for this?Is it the start of something that will mean there is a problem brewing?or is this a common thing.thanks Shaun

 

Hi Shaun: Go to the following link: XK8 & XKR FAQ quick links and scroll down. You will see a section on the ABS system and instructions for cleaning the little sensors at each wheel. This should solve your problem in pretty short order.

And if it's not the sensors, it's probably a bad solder joint in a module under the hood. That's a little more work, though, but still do-able. There's a link to that in the FAQ's, too.

 

If cleaning the sensor/ cable recepticals dosn,t clear fault, put a continuity test on the wheel sensor to bulkhead connector cable , while giving it a bit of a twist.There was a fault on mine but wasn,t evident till it was twisted slightly

thankyou guys I will try this weekend,first of all cleaning the sensors
