ABS module removal for 01 up

I have seen the removal technique for 2000 and later, but it looks like you have to remove the brake lines on the 2001's and up, is this true?

I had to remove the three lines between the module and the liner to remove mine on the 97. No big deal, didn't lose any fluid and didn't bleed after.

+1 Same basic procedure on my 2001 XK8. Just be careful not to bend the lines.
