Default ABS wiring connector

Hi the ABS unit (with all the brake lines) inside the hood has a multi wire connector at the bottom that I would like to disconnect and clean. Don’t want to mess up so can someone tell me how to disconnect it correctly? Is it easy?
thanks
Alan

Alan,

If you're referring to the ABS module and its rectangular multi-connector, yes it's easy to disconnect. (There are 2 electrical connectors).

The top of the connector is a square securing clip that needs to be pulled up (at a slight angle). You may need to wiggle the multi-pin connector as you try to pull the plastic securing clip up. Then the connector comes off easy. BTW there's another power type connector underneath - that's easier to deal with.

Disconnect the battery negative cable first.
