Hi folks,
I have had a faulty ACC module from the beginning in my XKR (amber light, "cruise not available", bunch of codes, which vary a little, like:
U2023 ACC, Fault received from external node
B1342 ACC, Control module internal failure
P1696 ECM, Adaptive speed control CAN link, adaptive speed control fail
U2515 IP, Missing message for adaptive speed control

Now I have removed the module and I'm going to try some repair service. However, without ACC module also DSC (ABS) module is not working because of CAN bus is disconnected.

My question is has anyone tried to remove ACC and reconnect CAN bus in module connector?
According to schematics (see picture) if I connect pins LF61-11 and LF61-10 and same with 5 and 4 the DCS should be back online.
I really want to figure out if the car can work without ACC module before any attempt to open it (and possible fry it completely).
Any thoughts?

I see no reason as to why you would not be able to jump the can bus wires and have the DSC operable with the ASC out of the car.

I don't have this equipment installed in my car and have no knowledge on it. I can't speak to what the software will decide to do with it missing from the system. I can however say that theoretically, if it is unable to communicate with the ASC right now, as indicated by your error messages, then it would be no different as the module not being installed in the car physically anyways.

This advice above is purely on the assumption that the only way this module communicates with anything else in the car is by the CAN bus only. If it communicates on another protocol, or sends out source signals that are used as sensors by other modules then anything could happen. I haven't looked in depth at the wiring on this to determine what the case may be. You should be able to determine the answers to these questions by checking every pin on the ASC connector in the documentation you pulled this schematic from.

 

With Mad Hatter, if you jump the wires, the bus will work. If you're driving it around, I'd make sure the connection is robust.

I tried this and it worked! (well, I had to clear codes from ABS unit first)
No ABS codes anymore, only those same about not working ACC. Now I can fry ACC module freely. And yes I will make more robust bypass wiring and sealing if I need to drive with this.
