Aftermarket ball joints
Don't look too good after 18 months and 12k miles. Would OEM be any better?

Rd, So sorry you are finding parts that, how can I say this nicely, JUNK and only 12K. You need to put the name of the supplier on the Forum, we do not need to put so much effort into our cars and have this happen, thinking we are in good shape. Just think of the poor soul that is paying the big bucks to have this installed.

The last OE upper ball joint I got for my 2005 XK8 came from the dealer in a Lemforder (part of the ZF group) box. Unusual but not unknown for Jaguar parts to be in the manufacturer's branded packing rather than Jaguar's. Look out for this manufacturer next time you are sourcing ball joints.

The ball joints, lower arm and upper arm bushes all came from British Parts.
The lower arm bushes and upper ball joints have now failed and the upper arm bushes were a disaster to fit, see Rev Sam's video.
Needless to say I will never go back to them.
I am swapping to Powerflex poly bushes and have ordered Lemforder ball joints from DMG.

I have used the Brit Part ball joints many times and had no comebacks/issues ???
I will say.......The Brit Part poly bushes are really bad...... Extremely cheaply made.... You can so tell the quality with Powerflex
