Airbag Blink Code...
Gang,
I couldn't find this covered in enough detail in any thread yet.
On start-up, the airbag light blinks 4 times...pauses...blinks 4 times...pauses...blinks 4 times again, and so on and eventually stays solid.
I assume the blink code is 44 (strange to me that it continues to blink 4 times for quite a while after the first two series of blnks).
Anyone have a listing of airbag codes they can share?
Thanks in advance

I have also heard that the only way to reset the air bag light is to have it reset at the Jaguar repair station at the dealership.
If this is so, how would I know that I eliminated the problem?
Would it simply not 'blink' anymore, but glow constantly instead?
That woluld be nice to know before I tesr into the project.

Got my response from my jag service tech. He recommended not relying on the number of blinks to determine a source, its not reliable. He suggested just having it scanned at the dealer.
My airbag light did not have to be 'cleared' to go away. It simply did not reappear. I am assuming if it is truly a ground issue (bad pin or wire) this is a good scenario, like the light bulb message...when you fix it, the light just stays off. For more serious failures, say a air bag module or something in the air bag itself, the code should have to be reset from the dealer. That makes sense.

airbag light - flash code 1....2
Hi, I too have an airbag light coming up on my 1999 XKR. I have read a few threads about this and my flash sequence is 1 flash and then 2 flashes… 5 times and then hard on. This has only happened since I have had a bit of work done on the car (replaced head gaskets, timing tensioners hoses etc etc) all work in the engine bay, when I picked up the car I was told that all was good … apart from this warning light coming on and that maybe it would rectify itself… or it might be a part in the steering wheel that will need replacing as they sometimes wear out.
Anyone know what the issue might be with a 1… 2 flash code?? Thanks DV
