electric antenna

Angry electric antenna

antenna sticks , does not raise fully ....can anyone offer any advice on what lubricant to use

This is a topic that can go on for day! You can do a search and see why or you can use wd40. It displaces water, lubricates and cleans. Spray the antenna, operate it and then wipe it dry with a clean cloth from the base to the tip (to avoid pushing dirt into the layers) and then do it again. If your antenna does not operate properly after 2 tries look into repair or replacement.

if not simply dirtied up, either one of the sections is bent, or the little teeth on the riser-thingy is damaged. Replacement is pretty simple also.

Most likely the plastic gear cord is damaged. Replacement is easy if it has not broken off inside the motor as mine was. I had to remove the motor and take it apart to retrieve the broken piece.
