Default All is well !!

Just a quick note.... as most folks come on here to ask about a problem ( as I have been known to do)... but today I thought I would tell everyone that my 97 XK8 is doing fine and has NO problems (that I am concerned about)... and it puts a smile on my face every time i get in and drive it.... sooooo... all is well. Thanks for the help to get it that way.

Default Indeed

Decided not to work this morning, fixed the lazy tilt up/down steering column and went for a drive.
We've all been reading Jaegers thread and it's nice to affirm why we got into this deal in the first place 😄

you are testing faith saying all is ok, and you own a 97 model.

Yesterday I was going to fix a short in my tail lights that was displaying a rear bulb out error. I gathered the tools, heated the garage, mentally prepared myself, and set about the task.

2 minutes in I realized the bulb wasn't fully in the socket.

OK ready for spring.

Good for you.... don't you love it when these cars are NOT a problem... and just fun to drive. I just got back today from a 200 mile trip, and I was smiling all the way.

"but today I thought I would tell everyone that my 97 XK8 is doing fine and has NO problems (that I am concerned about).."

Well today i addressed one of the problems that i was "not concerned about"..... fuse # 7 on the driver side door fuse box. It controls a bunch of interior lights ( vanity mirrors, map lights, trunk lights ect. ect.) that were not working and would blow the fuse as soon as you put it in. I found the problem was in the vanity mirror lights... and that unplugging them made everything else work fine. I think I can live without the mirror lights.... so another good day !!
