Just bought a 2001 Convertible. When I "fade" the sound on the CD Player to the back, all I get is a very light bass sound from the two large speakers inbedded in the back seat. I assume they arespeakers but not much sound comes out of them. Maybe they are just woofers, I don't know. Any ideas?

You are correct, they are just woofers. See this thread for some pics of what is behind you.

The convertible is supposed to have the fader turned off at the head unit, but it can be re-enabled. Either get used to only having fronts, or do something similar to what I did.

PS, if you want better woofers back there, I have two (2) JL Audio Subs for sale...direct swap-out for the lower quality Alpine/OEM units. Just PM for details.
