another timing chain tensioner question
If you are on a tight budget just do the secondaries...they are the ones that can cause serious damage if they fail.
The primaries are a much bigger, more complex job, plus they will likely make plenty of noise as they fail.
Changing the primaries is a much larger undertaking. You can inspect the sliders when doing the secondaries, and change if they are damaged. Consensus is that they will rattle if they begin to fail, but not cause catastrophic engine failure.

If you are on a budget, I highly recommend Christopher's Foreign Car Parts. He has the complete package with everything you need and it is cheaper than trying to find all the parts on Ebay, Amazon, etc.
