Any one else noticing XK8 prices rising?
I noticed that too. I got my 2002 XK8 convertible for 10,500 early 2013. I figured I move up to a 2006 after a while. I have been watching cars coming up for sale and the prices are going up and up. I just turned down an offer of 13,4000 for mine. (It is in mint condition)
I still think the amount of advertising Tata motors is pushing out for jaguar may be behind the rise in prices. I've been seeing more and more commercials than ever. People are actually talking about jaguar again!! And in a good way!!
Jaguar is regaining their cache again so even the classic models are getting new appreciation.

In January 2011 I bought my 2000 XKR Convertible for $10,600 w/ 67k miles. I paid to pop out dents, put on tires, touch up and repaint the wheels. I have about $1500-2k into it, but I have rebuilt the suspension, done secondary tensioners, roof hoses, fuel pumps and front brake pads. It now has 84k miles on it and I honestly think I could get at least what I have into it back out.
It's been a very reliable car, despite what some people say. It's not a Honda Civic, but it's been very inexpensive to own considering what it is. Anyone who buys an older Jaguar without wrenching on it themselves, better budget accordingly.

Maybe not so much the F type specifically but advertising in general. Since Tata motors took over, they've obviously increased the advertising budget and I see commercials much more than ever here in the USA. AND they're actual commercials with the care featured! I liked the Alive commercial but it really didnt show the cars much.
Hey, anything to increase values!!

I'm also a big fan of both, Lana del Ray and the Jaguar F-Type. Here is a video of both - S E X Y
