Are the wires already there? I saw some wires dangling when I had the inner fenders out doing the suspension.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were. In the UK we already have the side indicators, of course, but we don't have side marker lights (we have the lenses/reflectors, but not lit). I discovered that the wiring for them is still present (at the rear, at least, haven't checked the front), so just installed bulbholders and bulbs in the lenses, and they work perfectly.

on my us 02 there is a wire on the drivers side, but not that passenger side. There are threads where this is discussed how to it.

this one is good one to start but it is about side markers not side directionals
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...housing-67154/

this is to replace the leaper emblem on US cars with a side directional indicator

Start with drivers side
Remove torx screw at lower fender liner and plastic rivet ( pop out center of rivet first). Turn wheel to left to gain room.

Twist fender liner out so you can get your hand into fender and you will have to push the emblem out and use a plastic tool as a wedge from outside. The leaper is stuck on with adhesive tape and you will need to remove residue once leaper is off. When leaper is loose from body, you should find a connector on it

Remove connector from leaper by pushing down with small screwdriver on spring clip.
Now you will need your new side directional with bulb and bulb holder. Sometimes on eBay together, usually only lens is sold. Bulb is from O'Reilly.

Bulb holder is Ford item not available in US, I got mine from Sweden via eBay in Europe

Connect new parts to connector coming out of emblem hole.
Install by inserting rear of lens into hole and slide rearwards until front clip clears and then release.

now the more involved part
you will need to find a black 2 way econoseal III LC connector with a green/red wire (green wire with red stripe) and black wire on passenger side.
wiring diagrams say in engine compartment adjacent to RH enclosure
I found mime by removing the RH fuse box and looking down in the well of the RH enclosure.
The connector is affixed by a clip down there so get your long thin pick to lift inner tab to release.
Bring it up and then pinch the tab near wires to releaser other end of connector and pull off.

The econoseal connector looks like this
Now you will need to make a harness using the econoseal female connector you pulled off and a new junior timer connector and junior timer female pins and blue plugs.

Then complete other end of harness by adding econoseal plugs, and econoseal male pins and inserting into econoseal female connector.
The econoseal male pins are 571-881593-1 but only available at 80000 per order

Use Mouser
MFG Part No:881594-1
881594-1
TE Connectivity Automotive Connectors
US HTS:8538908140 ECCN:EAR99 COO:MX

The blue plugs for junior timer do not work for econoseal.
Econoseal plug is 900324-4 from Allied electronics.

Feed the harness through RH enclosure hole to fender and repeat driver side directions.

I suspect some people have tapped into wires leading into passenger headlight indicator for this purpose but I am unsure what effect that might have on electronics and the turn signal relay operation. I know on other cars the turn signal will speed up or not work by adding or subtracting lights.

Anyone local to SF bay area is welcome to swing by and I can give you the parts needed.

Funny. I hated those side lenses and just last week opted to put the leapers on the side and move the turn signals into the front corner lenses with the running lights.

Anybody that wants side turn signals but wants to keep their leapers can look here.

Do the side lamps still work as parking lights, except for blinking during turns?

The wiring is also present at the front too.

I've replaced my orange with clear lenses, drilled out the blanked off entry point for the bulb holder, used the Ford fitment and then used yellow led bulbs.

Gives the car a lot more 'presence' on the road when it's nighttime and also when the weathers dull, i.e. for the next few months!

Does the front and rear wiring already with connectors, or have the raw cables?
