Hi P.,
Hey would you mind telling those of us who don't recognize it, what is a "spot lamp"?

John

Some times here in UK called Fog lights .....The two on the outside low down on the front . When You go to ignition positon 2 they both come on ..when you turn on sidelights they stay on but putting on the dip or main beam they go off ,Have changed the 55w bulbs for leds at about 15watts. Just found some other old posts ..seems in US you keep the dipped lights on programing the vehicle via the OBD socket .
for this its just a couple of passive components added to the under bonnet fuse box.

Strangely I just came across a kit on ebay while looking for something else but it said it was not compatible with HID headlights.

I am interested but my XKR has HID headlights. Have you tested on a HID model?

Cool, I'd buy one. This is the other kit I saw:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XK...hoCP-sQAvD_BwE

Let us know when yours is on there and I will order one.

Am in the process of making a new front bumper cover and was going to do away with the fog lights but would replace with more some discreet DRLs

If you PM me your address I will send you one ..free and you can let me know what you think and if the instructions are OK.
Looks like the guy on eBay did not sell many but maybe that's because it won't work with led/HDI

Very generous of you, appreciate it. It is likely to be a few weeks before my bumper is finished and back on the car though so may not be able to give you any feedback for a few weeks.

I will PM you the address and leave it up to you to decide 👍

Hi, I would also like to buy this I bought the kit being sold on eBay but did not read that it would not work with HIDs so this sounds great 👍😊

As this is a mainly Worldwide/USA site it would be better to provide the modification details so that owners in other countries can DIY to avoid postage cost/delays etc.

The main problem for that Ebay kit was that it was vastly overpriced for what it was + the information was freely available on Youtube.

See my information thread posted for those who own cars without HID headlights.
