Auto Lights not turning off with car?
My 99 XK8 just started to now tell me when I shut the key off and open the door that my lights are on. It has never done that. This started last night when i pulled into my garage and the auto lights turned on ( like always) but when I shut the care off... ding.. ding... ding...ding... until I switched the lights to OFF from auto. I am now thinking that it might be an indicator that I have a light out?? Not sure ... but that is why we are here! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks to ALL!!!

The light sensor is located on the windshield as part of the rear view mirror. It is a trapizoid shape. It feeds the Lighting switch ('99) or the body processor module('04), depending on year or if the wiring diagrams are correct. That tiny little dome on the drivers side (US)
at the base of the windshield is a solar sensor used by the A/C.
You have not said anything about your mirrors not working (power adj.) so I assume it is not a power problem.
Get a wiring diag. determine if its switch, or sensor.

As I have been reading other logs I did find out that the sensor is on the back of the rear view mirror. And... it just so happens that about 3 weeks ago it drained itself of that liquid that is supposed to change when brights lights drive up on me. Maybe that is what the issue is now? My mirrors are working ( adjusting ) so not a power issue there...if they are on the same circuit. So now I am looking at getting a new mirror and maybe that will fix this issue.
