Myrtle, at a not in a hurry pace 3 hours and 45 minutes to North. Downtown about 4 hours.
From this area. Get to HWY 74 and you have choices all the way on where you want to make a right. Hwy 38 through Bennettsfield is about 30 miles and then 4 lane all the way to 501 into the beach at downtown.
North Myrtle, just keep going to Tabor City down to Hwy 9, straight shot into Cherry Grove (**** Capital of the world).
Now there are lots Freeways to get off Hwy 17 or the bypass. travelling between north and south area.

Update:
Given the number of folks who want to attend this event (and we expect more to join in as time passes), there is much to do to prepare for it. We will speak with the management at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer regarding their ability to handle our Jaguar Forum group. They host various functions throughout the normal (non-Covid-19) year so we must ensure that we do not conflict with any of them. This will be the ideal initial meeting place for all of us on the chosen Saturday morning of the event, and we want our own designated area in their large parking lot so we can all assemble and park together....
We will also speak with the management of a couple of the local BBQ joints to ensure that they can indeed host our group for lunch on the day of the event. Being able to have our own "back room" area will certainly add to our enjoyment and festivities as well as provide for the least amount of disruption to their regular lunch business that day....
Wayne will arrange the Jaguar Forum golf outing at his local club for those who want to play while they are here. This will take place the day before our official meetup event (so golf will be on a Friday). A late-morning tee time is expected. If you intend to play, you should notify Wayne as soon as possible so he will know how many foursomes to make reservations for....
For those who need overnight lodging before/during/after the event, Wayne will recommend the best facility for accommodations, convenience, and security. When you show up driving a convertible, you want to stay in a place that provides 24/7 parking lot monitoring as part of their general services....
Please keep in mind that the national Covid-19 pandemic statistics must continue on their improving trendlines throughout 2021 for us to be able to safely host this event. We have an expectation that everyone who attends should have been fully vaccinated at least a month prior to the event. Wayne received his second dose this past Monday, and Jon will receive his second dose on March 16th....
Stay tuned for more details as the information comes together. If you have questions, feel free to ask. In the meantime, Happy Motoring....

Kelly,
We are working on dates. Quite a bit of coordinating to do and permission to obtain before we can lock in the actual date and then announce it here. We need reasonable cooperation from the museum, the town, and the golf course. Hang in there just a bit longer, please....
Lots to do in Asheville as you already know. You can easily spend a week there. Be sure to visit Biltmore Estate if you have never been there. Unquestionably one of the most stunning properties anywhere in the USA....

After checking on some things in the October schedules, the weekend of 9th and 10th is out. NASCAR will have all the hotels covered within a 100 miles of Charlotte.
I did check on the price of the Museum, to get in. $7 and 6 for seniors. Double that if you want to ride on the coach train around the yard.
I'll try and go by today and see about parking, they ran a bunch of shows out of there by upping the price for the grounds. All we need is a large spot for us to park together. If it's going to be a issue, we can just park as close as possible and meet under the sheds with tables. Now to find out if they have to be reserved.
I really don't think a small amount of money is going to be a problem, just don't want any surprises when someone comes from a long distance away just to meet people.
Moving right along, slowly.
Jon and I both are finding we are getting excited to see everyone and kind of wondering what we forgot to think about. LOL

Pencil me in! Would love to attend if the dates work out. Would be great to meet some of the folks here and thank the Reverend for his great videos! Especially since I have nearly the same car he shot them on! It sounds like a fun time and only a bit over 2 1/2 hours from south of Columbia SC.
