Default battery disconected

Is there anything necessary to do when re-connecting the battery after doing some welding on the exhaust? 2000XK8 conv. Some things don't act the same as before, like the windows don't always go up to to align with the top when the doors are closed.

The window memory will need to be reset. With the door closed, hold the 'down' switch for a few moments past reaching full down until you hear a 'click'. Low volume 'click'. Hold the 'up' switch for a few moments past full up until you hear the same click. Same for the other door.

Fuel trim will take a few miles to reset but other than that you are good to go.

If you have the Owner;s Manual for your car, the Window Reset Procedure is described in it.

I have to re-perform this procedure every 72 hours. I have no idea why! Can you or anyone else help?

Yes, your battery is either in a low state of charge from not using the car for a long time or you need a new battery.
