I decided to go with the Odyssey P1350 as a replacement it is a non-alloy lead plate battery which doesn't require venting. It has amazing specs...but it was expensive $285.

In the U.S. (versus Europe) batteries are very expensive

I got an AGM battery at Sam's Club for around $160. AGM batteries do not need venting, are maintenance free and it had specs superior to the OEM battery. That was a couple years ago and it has been problem free.

That is indeed a very good price considering how much automotive batteries have increased in price during the past three years or so....

Thank you, I searched the forum from within the app to no avail. Google search took me right here, sorry to be exhuming an old thread just to say thanks, but I am. Now my battery is vented properly, been vented wrong since Christmas Eve afternoon 2019.
