What's the best place to buy fog lamps. I need the whole units, the 2000-2006 ones. Has anyone seen them used for sale? thanks

 

I need a pair also,did you find out anything on fog lights? I think I only need the glass.

 

kes, they are only sold as an entire unit, no glass separately. Have either of you checked the prices from Gaudin Jag or Nalley Jag, sponsors of the forum? If you go to Gaudin, you can use their website to get a price w/o even making a call. Then I check with Nalley for a price check...then decide from there.

 

05 and 06 have a different nose, not sure sure if the fog lights are the same - might be something to look into before ordering.

 

It may sound cheesy as can be, but after 2 sets of jag fog lamps because you can't buy the glass lenses, I decided to make my own. It's 3 miles of dirt road for me to get home, so these were always breaking.

I removed the lamps and cleaned the housings throughly. To make the lense, I took Intermatic outdoor low voltage plastic sealed beam assemblies, about $3.oo at Home Depot. I then sliced off the front of the lense on my bandsaw and used plastic epoxy to glue them to the lamp housings. 4 years later, no breakes or leaks. Look great too.

Just an idea for folks as cheap as me.

 

I purchased replacement fog lamps for my 07 XK from a Ford dealer. The parts are identical. I am not sure if the lamps are the same for your year but it is worth checking. They were half the price.
