Default Bleeding a 1997 XK8

I notices a coolant leak coming from the cross over pipe and upon further inspection I notice the thermostat housing was leaking as well. Sooo, I replace both assemblies as well as the expansion tank. After filling the system up with anti-freeze it seemed I had trapped a lot of air. Squeezing the hoses didn't seem to do much good and letting it sit over night didn't work either. The trick is to take the top off the thermostat housing with a 10MM allen wrench and slowly add coolant in the expansion tank while allowing the air to escape thru the top of the thermostat housing. I also squeezed the hoses as well, for good measure. I highly encourage you to inspect both the cross over pipe and related components because the material these assemblies are made of become very brittle. It's also a good idea to replace the top of the thermostat cap. There is a built in seal that can become hard and leak. Please don't over tighten. Hope this helps !!!
