I would love to meet up, Asheville is only 60 miles away, but that particular weekend is out for me...24th wedding anniversary. My car will also be undergoing a full respray in October. If you ever land on another date, I'm in.

That's right before High Point Furniture Market and ill be in the thick of getting showroom ready. Las Vegas trade shows bought it so now we have to setup even earlier or huge fines for "late arrival"
I'll still keep an eye on thread. And date, I may be able to take me day for a road trip if we get done early!

 

Bummer, My wife and I will be on a cruise during that time frame. As for hotels in the area--someone mentioned the Grove Park which is a little pricey unless you find a deal. There is also a hotel on the Biltmore estate grounds. There are some nice bed and breakfast locations around the area. If we can get the date outside of Oct. 12-27 I can attend the get together and would be happy to host a Bar-B-Q at the house. I will also mention that the local British car club is hosting the 14th annual "Autumn in the Mountains" on Sat. Sept. 28th in Hendersonville. I'll be tied up for the next couple of days with out of town guests so won't have regular access to the forum.

 

Drove down the 'long way" from NYC to Raleigh, NC with route designed to hit the Blue Ridge Mountains. Spent several hours on Skyline Drive. Incredible drive.
