Bolt (size) for attaching engine hoists
Anyone have the specs on the size and length of the bolts (plus strength rating?) one needs to attach the rear lifting rings to use with an engine hoist on a 1997 XK-8 Convertible engine?
The two threaded holes are found on the aft end of the engine (end nearest the fire wall), about 2-3 inches from the top edge of the engine, driver and passenger side.
I have one pretty large bolt that I found that will go in about one turn but that's all and I don't want to strip the threaded hole. I suspect the thread is too coarse, or more likely, its standard not metric?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

I found it in a search. M14x1.5. Pep boys doesn't stock that size. But the do stock a m14x1.5 wheel stud. I actually picked a couple up to tray and they work perfectly with my hf load balancer.
