Without taking the wheel off & measuring the disk, is there any way of telling its size (305 or 325mm)?


I've tried the search function but can't find an answer.

 

Other sizes are also possible depending exactly which model/options.

 

Look in the DIY sticky at the top of the forum page. Under the Brakes section there is a table for rotor specifications for 2001 models.

 

I managed to get the wheel off, measure the disk & get the wheel back on before the storm hit.


The 325 I measured matches what I later found on the sticky you mentioned.

On both my 2001 XK8 with Impellar wheels and 2005 XK8 with Sepang wheels, I could see the discs through the wheels sufficiently to be able to measure the diameter ........
