Default Brembo Brakes on 06 XKR

i need to replace the front brake pads and rotors on my 06 XKR. The OE Brembo pads alone are over $500, and i think the rotors are something like $750. Even for a Jag, this is a bit ridiculous. Both shops i have taken it to say there are no aftermarket parts for these types of Brembo brakes so i have no choice but to go OE. Does anyone know a good aftermarket company i can try? i have been looking online but there are so many options...and none seem to fit my car. any help would be appreciated.

I did an earlier post on the same subject. From what I've researched, EBC makes brake pads for the Brembos and there are some rotor suppliers. Try SNC Barratt and Welsh Interprises. Good luck and please let me know what you come up with because I'm in the same boat.

Default Brembo Brakes

I used Hawk pads that were purchased from TireRack and rotors purchased from Autohaus. The pads and rotors have been excellent and both suppliers were very user freindly. Had the work done by an independent Jag Tech and saved a bundle.

I used Brakeperformance.com after a recc. by several other forum members on my R , they were DIRT CHEAP and great quality!

Andy provided great service and personally phoned Jaguar with my VIN number to ensure he sent me the correct product the first time.

I plan to use them every time, their prices and service beat everyone else ive tried hands down, especially tire rack!

Unfortunately if you have a '06XKR with Brembo brakes all these other suggestions are not going to help you, except you can get EBC pads which are quite a bit less and IMO better performing than the stock pads.

As far as rotors are concerned your choice is limited to OEM. However, I would have those rotors cyrogenically treated to more than double their life.

that is pretty much the answer my local guy gave me...no option other than OE. At least if the EBC pads work, that is something positive. i am going to make sure i do every bit of research i can before forking over that much cash on a brake job. The research is a lot less painful than having to explain to my wife why the upkeep on this car is costing so much.

My trick was to have my own secret stash account when it came to buying stuff or getting minor mods on my Vette

i think i found something that will work with my non-cross drilled Brembos... Eurospare makes rotors that they show as fitting (i will still cross check with the jag oe part number if possible), and the EBC pads.
