Brembo Caliper Touch Up Paint ?
Good Morning,
I have a set of Brembo calipers from an XKR-100 that I am getting ready to put on my XKR. They are silver with the red "jaguar" lettering and have some chips and scuffs that I would like to brush touch up if possible.
Does anyone know if there is a paint code for this color? If not, I will try to match as best I can with automotive touch up paint.
Thank you,
Rob

the Duplicolor Silver caliper paint is an exact match. At least as close as you can get. Brembo does not want to release their paint codes. They tell you that you need to send them back to the factory to get them touched up. I have silver Brembo's on my Volvo C30 and wanted to touch them up. Could not find any info on the paint codes so just tried this and had a match.

Thanks the Duplicolor sounds good and it really doesn't have to match perfectly.
Frankc, I don't have sound on my work PC at the moment, so couldn't hear what he was saying in the video.

The guy was saying you really didn't need special heat resistant paint for calipers. The reason I used Duplicolor is that it is an epoxy paint and dries to a hard finish. The other thing, if you are doing just some touch-up, you can do what I did. I poured half the can into a small empty container and added half of the catalyst, the saved the rest for a later use.

I have always used silver Hammerite on my calipers and drums. Never had any problems. I have Bremo brakes on my XKR and originally I used high heat paint but it did not last. As I said I then used Hammerite silver and its still there.
Not so with Hammerite - sticks to anything! It's come a long way since starting in a little factory in the Tyne Valley in 1962.
