Default Broken Oil Cooler

Am I the only XKR owner who has pulled up too close to the curb and wrecked the oil cooler? I have a 2001 XKR that I got too intimate with the curb and the oil cooler hangs down below the front bumper so naturally it got crunched and started spraying oil all over the parking lot. This is an insanely bad design why put a delicate part like the oil cooler under the front bumper. Does anyone know of a aftermarket fix for this problem?

No, you are definitely not the first. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...es-left-41811/

Remove the two oil cooler mounts, flip them 180 degrees and reinstall them. This will raise the oil cooler about 1-1.5 inches. This will help.

Seems the location has been modified on the 4.2 litre. The bottom of my oil cooler is more than an inch above the front bumper undertray.

How do I remove the mounts. I have the same problem. My wife parked to close to a concrete stop in a parking lot and now I need to either replace or fix my oil cooler. I was able to remoce the two nuts on the passenger side but the driver side the nuts and posts turn. Any help would be appreciated.
