Default Bulbs for switches

Some of the bulbs in my switches have blown, does anyone know of a suitable replacement part # and supplier?

I am willing to take the switches apart and solder in a new bulb if necessary. I had a look at one when I had the car apart this week for the hydraulics. I was pretty surprised to see that they had soldered in an incandescent. I would have expected them to be LEDs.

I can't help with the part number but here's a source that may have what you need.

http://www.autolumination.com/74.htm

Scroll down about 1/3 of the page and look for "Neo - Wedge Instrument Panel Bulbs 10mm (3/8") diameter x 13mm (1/2") high"

Hi Phill ,
I have a list of lamps and LED's to suit XK8/Rs , it all depends on which switches are not working properly , most have LEDs for INDICATION and lamps for ILLUMINATION , hope this helps ,

Default Lights that are out

The two lights that have gone are the sport mode indicator light and the fog light indicator light.

Would be nice to have a supplier of additional switches in the same style that can be modified to fit accessories.

Not sure about the sport light, but the ones in the auxiliary switch panel simply screw in - traction control, seats and fogs are all the same part. I got a few replacements from the dealer, but unfortunately, I don't have the part number. Notice the blue 'cap' that covers these...not sure why. If you want consistent colors across all buttons, either get aftermarket ones for all of them, or replace with the dealer OEM part. In hindsight, I wished I had replaced ALL of mine with the OEM, because the newer ones are a bit brighter than the 5-yr old ones. duh...should have known that would have happened.

If these lamps are using 12vdc, it looks simple to unsolder them and replace with a suitable led.

You probably could just crack the bulb glass and solder the LEDs to the bulb wires.
