Default Bump Stops Polyurethane

In a pinch, I had luck in fitting Volkswagen bump stops to the front shocks of our cars. They were an exact fit. As I was looking at powerflex's site for the next set of bushings I plan on fitting (lower control arm and sway bar bush), I noticed they have a section for bump stops.

They list the BS006 as a Volkswagen front bump stop but don't specify what cars they fit. However, from the picture it looks strikingly similar to the bump stops fitted in our cars but in a superior polyurethane construction.

At $36 I would've tried them out had I learned about these before I fitted new bump stops, sway bar links, shock mounts, and lower shock bush onto my car.

If anyone is feeling adventurous and is willing to try these out please report back on if they fit. I suspect they do, and if so, we would have a viable upgraded bump stop available to us:

Thanks for sharing this! I'm in the "hunting/gathering" stage of a front end rebuild, and looking to use as many polyurethane parts as I can find.

Please let us know if they do fit. It would be nice to make this an official Non - OEM alternative. Powerflex sell both upper and lower front control arm bushings, as well as the sway bar bushings for our cars. Welsh Enterprises sell urethane shock mounts. By then the only rubber parts you would have in the front end would be the lower shock bushing, the sway bar links, and the ball joints.

So far I've purchased the Welsh poly shock mounts, poly upper control arm bushings ( brand escapes me at the moment, shipped from the UK ), and poly sway bar bushings. Unfortunately the rebuild is going to have to wait a bit, but..when I get the poly bump stops I will definitely report back on fit and performance.

Please add this to the "parts interchange" sticky at the top of the forum with additional details!

Powerflex bushes are well recommended for the lifetime guarantee they have https://powerflexstore.co.uk/jaguar-...100-1996-2006/
