It was available, but few cars in the US had it installed if any. None of the convertibles I bet.

It would be under the valance covering the windshield wipers in a line with the location of the glove box.

PITA to remove windshield wipers to check. I wouldn't bother.

Maybe YES ....... maybe NO.

You're going to have to take the Wipers and the Plenum Cover (black plastic air intake grille) off to see if you have one fitted:

When I first got my car I thought that filter was plugged because when you switched to outside are the airflow nearly stopped. Took the wipers off (thats fun because they were stuck) and took the air plenum grill off and guess what? No filter. But that whole area was totally plugged up with pieces of leaves and other organic material in various stages of decay. Got what I could out with my hands and used the shop vac for the rest.

There are parts to add beside the filter if you want to install it

Had the dealer service my 2000 XKR Convertible when I bought the car two years ago. They ordered and charged me for the cabin filter. When the filter arrived, they discovered the car didn't have the box to hold the filter. I took it as a lesson that the particular dealer dind't know as much about the XKR as I'd hoped.

The Pollen Filter has got a very bad reputation for absorbing water and getting blocked with debris. Many owners have thrown them away without any ill effects on the AirCon/Heating system.

Jaguar learned the lesson and moved the Pollen Filter inside the engine bay on the later XK model.

Abby's Guy. It sometimes takes awhile, but your learning. Just because it's a dealer, doesn't mean the people working there know what your talking about. The guy working on your car might be the guy that changed your oil at the local oil change jip joints last week. Just be careful if you go to a dealer. Most are reliable, but still ask alot of questions.........

I was just wondering about this the other day- may crack into that and check/clean at some point.

Strange that this isn't as common as an oil filter on cars. We used to have a 2004 Grand Cherokee that I later ordered a cabin filter and bracket for. Then my Audi has two charcoal cabin filters standard...
