Welcome to the forums mcfjaguar,
As detailed above, the wipers and scuttle have to be removed to access the filter housing. If you do have one fitted, throw it away!

Hi; Cars manufactured for the US market were not equipped with cabin filters from the factory. The parts are no longer available even from England. I could not find any after market either. I have a '99 XK8. I took it apart and was glad it didn't have one. As mentioned above it's a real pain to get at. Don't waste your time enjoy your car.

One of Jaguar's bigger mistakes.....They designed a Cabin Air Filter Assembly that even they could not get to...One large mistake on the X100! Some Filter Company jumped all over it and made a bunch of Filters for it...then found out no one could get to it and lost their you know what on them....As late as 2017, eBay had them on Sale......should have bought one as a piece of History!
Well! you could get to them if you wanted to remove almost everything in front of the Windshield.....Wipers, wiper assembly and on and on! 2 to 3 hours to change a Cabin Filter!
