Default Calling all Coupe owners!

Hi All,

I have a few things bothering me on my car and was wondering if they have been seen before and how to correct them.

The first being my third brake light coming detached from the back glass. Is it just supposed to snap in or will I have to glue it?

The second is my rear trim coming detached. Does this just snap in?

Thanks!

There should be 2 clips glued to the glass on either side and a mating feature on the light assembly.

I gave up and used a bit of rubber hose to wedge the light in place. It is behind the speaker cover and I can’t even see it when looking in the mirror.

I currently have a rolled up microfiber towel holding it up. Never thought about rubber hose. What diameter did you use?

The clips were broken on mine so I put black acoustical sealant around the edges and held it in place with a roll of paper towel until it was dry. You can't see the sealant from either side of the glass and it has lasted a year with no signs
of letting loose. I can still cut the rubber sealant with a knife if I need to get at the light to change bulbs.

Mines held in place with a wedge of wood smh. Don't much like the idea, but I painted the housing and the wedge black, so it doesn't really show at all.

It is a short length of 3/4" black radiator hose (or maybe they called it fuel line) from the auto parts store. Nothing fancy.

For my light, I used a couple of short strips of velcro on the bottom. It grabs hold of the package shelf cover and doesn't move at all, but can be removed for service if needed.

I use Double sided tape rolled up like Charlie's Rubber Hose...but I like the Velcro idea....I'll bet that would work great!

When the detail guy accidently detached it I tried to reseat it but eh housing just crumbled. Florida doesn't have inspections so no light there now.

Inspections over here are limited to emissions, but not having the lamp there would play all sorts of mind games on me and trigger my OCD.

By chance does anyone have a picture of the two clips?

Your PDF gave an error message when I tried to open it.

Presumably it contains something like this?

Do the clips on the lamp or glass normally fail? It looks like my lamp clips might be deformed but have been holding the last few days.

Hi All,

Is your subwoofer mounting area all open similar to mine?

Is my fuel tank cover carpet positioned correctly? It doesn't look like mine is lining up correctly anymore.

Thanks!
