Drove the coupe!
There is a pre-production European-spec coupe spending a couple of days at each South Florida dealer and I had a chance to drive it in Fort Myers. It is an amazing car but it is the looks that are really stunning - it is everything I was hoping it would be!

British racing green looks so damn good on the coupe. They had one at the reveal in LA, my favorite color of the 4 they had. Still trying to decide between it and Italian racing red. I think the BRG will be more rare. Nice pics!
What motor was in the car and how did it compare to the convertible? Love to hear what you think about it.

The car was Euro spec - speedo in km/h and nav system looking for an address in Belgium. It also looked pre-production with temporary wiring under the cover at the bottom of the trunk. It was a V6 S and the only convertible I have driven is a base V6 so it was not an apples to apples comparison. However, in the short drive I had it seemed very similar but I definitely got the impression that the chassis was nice and stiff. One thing I looked for was whether it had much of a blind spot. Not too bad considering the rear window is relatively narrow - this shows the driver's view our to the back left:
hmm, this is quite the blindspot.
But certainly not as bad as in the XK. I am very much used to not turn and my mirrors are so adjusted that each covers part of the next mirror so no blind spot unless a car is almost next to me and just before I can see it's nose out the side window.
I also do not understand why the hump behind the seats is so high in the coupe. It seems to be a lot of wasted space. Even in my mid engine Cayman that hump was not that tall and it was the engine cover. I understand in the vert to hide the roof but in the coupe this should be much lower or even gone.

There is a cover over the trunk that lifts when you open the tailgate. The cover has been made as high as possible to maximize the trunk without having to remove it. I think the hump behind the seats is as tall as it is because of this cover
