Car threw a P0116 code last night

Is it necassery that I do this or will the system sort itself out is what I really want to know.

I prefer to bleed it all in one operation, the reason being is that removing the fragile overflow tank cap repeatedly to top off as the level drops over time is bound to cause trouble sooner or later. I’d rather it be much later, than sooner.

Removing the plug is definitely not mandatory, but does lets you complete the job sooner.

I don't mind just checking it every day that it's full. I don't feel like buying a massive allen key just for this.
