cat won't start
Hi all;
My 98 vert did not start. Bad wire to starter. Replaced. Now it cranks but doesn't try to start. I've looked at the service info, and found no other broken circuits or bad relays. What are the most likely suspects?

Check one thing for me. Check that the lights on the visor mirrors are working. If not check a 15a (I think) fuse in the drivers fascia door fuse box. Well check them all!!
Also When you are trying to start the car does it sound like it has compression or is it a whirling sound?

Update;
My mechanic, good as he is, suggested taking car to dealer. It has spark but no fuel. My next question. Has anyone taken their xk to the dealer for a no start and how much did it cost you?

Could the fuel cutoff switch have tripped? I think in the earlier models it was in the drivers side fascia fuse panel, in my, MY 2003, it is in the foot-well behind the plastic trim.
You need 3 things for the engine to start fuel, spark and compression. The lack of one will result in no start.
