Changed dash lights Won' start !!
Well, a little more complicated than that, after disconnecting the battery, I removed the instrument cluster and replaced the 8 dash lights with new Sylvania bulbs. After reassembly I reconnected the battery. Now no response of any kind from the instrument cluster, and the engine will not turn over. Marker lights work but no headlights or tail lights. I checked the fuses for the instrument cluster (left door) but all are OK.
I am almost a hundred miles from the Jag dealer so I would really like to resolve this without having it transported. Any help is appreciated.

Assuming everything was fine before you changed the bulbs, the problem you are encountering would indicate the the main connectors to the instrument pack are not seated. Go back and recheck them.
I had this problem. I found the yellow connector can appear connected when it's not. So disconnect the battery, take it off, put it back on and throw the locking tab across. On mine I assumed the locking tab would draw the pins together, but I found that was not the case. You need to push the connector on firmly before the locking lever.
Time to eat a little crow and say thanks again. Should have had a flashlight to begin with, black on black is tough for an old guy to see. It was the connector after all and all is well now (except for the check engine light which is new).
