Default check engine light

Just got a check engine light. How do I check for codes or get the light out?

Code reader only- If you can, grab one that does real time as it may come in handy down the road.

Post #1 in a new thread titled check engine light.

Did you intend to add this to an existing thread? If so, tell me which one and I'll move it for you.

Most auto parts stores sell them. Autozone, O'Riellys etc. Also probably Sears.

Default Android OBD, CEL, MIL Reader?

Is there a recommended Android code reader for the 4.2L XK8 / XKR so we can use our phones?

My reader gives good engine diagnostics, but nothing else. I would love to have all the other system diagnostics as well.

Ciao! - Jim
