Check Engine Light on after Water Pump Replaced
I replaced the Water Pump, Thermostat Housing, Thermostat, and Radiator Houses on my 1998 XK8 with 46000 miles. After completing the check engine light is on. The engine seems to be running fine. Has anyone experienced this?
Yes I have had it happen. First check the the connectors on each of the knock sensors are correctly connected and tight. One of mine didn't seat. Get the codes scanned and let us know what they are if the knock sensors are not the problem, they mount on each side of the thermostat tower.
I drove my car approximately 2 miles and the check engine light was still on. I was going to go to the auto parts store to have then check for codes. Went I started the car the check engine light was no longer on. I assume the computer reset its self.
