Christmas time driving madness
everyone seems to be in more of a hurry this time of year, and less care is taken by other drivers, everywhere. So watch out !!!
This afternoonI was coming into town after a nice 200 mile drive up into Kansas, the speed limit was still 55 and I was following a pickup, not too closely thank goodness. The numbskull had two 20 foot ladders in the bed of the truck and when he went over a little rough pavement they went airborne and headed straight for my '02 XKR. Thanks to the (fairly new) ebc redstuff brake pads, I slowed from 60 to 10 mph in an instant it seemed, and was able to maneuver between the ladders with no extra drama. I wanted to tell the guy off, but I think he knew how badly he screwed up, so I just waved ( all fingers extended
) and thanked my lucky stars I was paying close attention

Wow, good luck there. I almost got plowed into by a driver running a red light going straight at about 50 MPH as I was turning onto the road from the right. Everybody is in a hurry. It's the holiday season, take it easy !
