Can any of you identify what this noise is behind my speedometer? Listen to the attached video.
It comes on sometimes when the car is first started and then goes away after a few minutes. I think there are times when I have heard it after I have turned off the ignition.
Ignore the warnings for the DSC as they come and go from time to time regardless of this noise.

That's an odd one. The closest I think of is the sound the old-style fuel pumps made:- so a solenoid or actuator pulsing intermittently.

There are some servo motors controlling the flaps behind the dash vents, or the 'heater water valve' is behind the dials on an LHD car, but that's on the other side of the firewall.

 

Please read through ALL the TSBs Jaguar issued for your car. They are a wealth of info and will answer most of the issues that come up in the forum.

The Purge Valve could be the noise?

I have looked at TSBs. It is not the purge valve as that is located in the left front fender behind the wheel. I know what that sounds like.
This noise is inside the passenger compartment and behind the gauges.
